@Zlotovluna was my unbeatable PUBG MOBILE rival

I played PUBG MOBILE a lot in 2022–2023, and one username still stands out: @Zlotovluna. In my matches, he seemed completely untouchable—whenever we ended up against each other, I was usually the one heading back to the lobby. I never verified whether he was officially a pro player, but against me he absolutely played like one.

I got so frustrated after one especially brutal loss that I actually broke my phone. Not my finest gaming moment, and probably more a comment on my temper than on his skill, but that rivalry felt intensely personal at the time.

Has anyone else ever had a similarly strong rivalry with one particular opponent in an online game?

That kind of rivalry is rarely about the whole player base. One familiar username becomes the final boss in your head, and suddenly every match feels like a rematch.

Breaking the phone is where the rivalry stops being entertaining and starts becoming expensive. Still, I understand how repeated losses can turn one opponent into a personal myth.

The interesting part is the recognition loop: once you notice the same name, you play differently, usually worse. Half the advantage may be psychological before the first shot is fired.

I have not had a single opponent become that memorable, but I can see why it happens. Repetition creates a story even when the evidence is just a series of losses.
